Frank Kelly & Sons Garage Ltd. started with Frank Kelly in Stratford and put down roots in Mitchell in 1963. Three generations later, Wade Kelly and the crew still run an independent heavy-duty shop — not a franchise template.

Stratford beginnings
Frank Kelly opens the first shop in Stratford — honest mechanical work built one relationship at a time.
1963
Mitchell on HWY #8
The garage moves to Line 34 / Highway #8 in Mitchell — still home base for the business today.
1960s–70s
Grow the shop
Two facility expansions. Gas pumps are phased out so the team can focus on heavy-duty repair and maintenance.
Early 1970s
Frank Kelly & Sons
Doug, Bill, and Wayne join — Frank Kelly & Sons Garage expands diesel service across Southern Ontario.
1995

2014–2025
Next generation
Wayne steers the shop through diesel specialization, OEM and Western Star parts, and advanced diagnostics. In 2025 he retires from daily tools; Wade Kelly and the team carry the name forward.
